Allow dates to be manually written instead of using the date picker

Entering some dates can be time-consuming when using the date picker.

Allowing the user to manually type the date as an alternative input method could help speed this up.

Craig Reardon: Feature requests on the roadmap are used as a gauge to help us understand what our users would like to see in the product. As such, there are no immediate plans to change the way dates are entered, but as and when we get to a point where this is to be worked on we'll carefully consider how any changes would affect the usability of the app.
