Create a new template to carry out Fire Compartmentation Surveys.
Compartmentation is the process of subdividing a building into sections to prevent the rapid spread of smoke and fire. A Compartmentation Survey is carried out to assess the effectiveness of the buildings ability to protect escape routes and high-value areas.
The survey will include assessments of all the fire compartmentation mechanisms used in the basements, walls, floors, roof, roof voids, floor voids, ceiling voids, shafts, and risers and an inspection of all the fire doors.

This is a report that I will require in the near future. Although I would require one separate to the fire door inspection report. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help with this.

George Bainbridge: Thanks George, noted. We may indeed call on you to help with this. Is there a specific standard you'll be working to?

Paul King: The regulations we work to mainly are:
- RRO 2005
- BS9999
- Approved Document B
- CDM Regulations 2015 on large scale projects
- Building Safety Act 2022
But these mainly just state that the fire safety systems have to be maintained to a working standard.
Specific details of a repair that need to be recorded are often dictated by the third-party certifier (NAPFIS, IFC, FIRAS...).
I can provide further info on what is required by them.
